When the winter weather sets in, I tend to aim for comfy, cozy outfits. Sneakers are one of my favorite things to wear. They embody my casual style and work well in winter outfits (and really outfits in every season). I love denim— and sneakers and jeans are the perfect pairing, so naturally it’s a combo that I wear a lot.

This winter I have three pairs of sneakers that I have been wearing a lot— classic, white, low top sneakers, black high tops, and neutral trainers. They’re all very versatile and I love the mix of styles. Here are some winter outfits with sneakers that I’m wearing this season!

Winter Outfits with Trainers

This pair is a newer addition to my wardrobe. They’re such a good bridge between athletic shoes and street shoes. I can easily wear them with leggings and lounge sets, as well as with jeans. I love the contrast of the two tones on the sneakers, but also that they’re neutral and versatile. They do run really small— I sized up one full size. They are from an ethical, local, Nashville fashion brand that I love supporting.

Winter Outfits with White Sneakers

I really love this pair of white sneakers. I’ve been wearing them for three years now and they are still in great shape. They are true to size and the tongue was a bit stiff initially but it soften up quickly with wear. They’re made from high quality leather and they’re from an ethical footwear brand. I would say that these are the most versatile pair of shoes that I own. Because of that, and the fact that they can be worn in every season, they get the most wear out of any of the shoes in my closet.

Winter Outfits with High Top Sneakers

This is a super classic pair of sneakers that I have had a version of for years. This one in particular is called the Chuck 70, modeled after the version of these high tops from the 1970s. (here is the classic version) Instead of the traditional bright white, the rubber part of these shoes is off white and they have a slightly thicker sole. I sized down 1/2 size in these, which I always do in this brand. Like the white sneakers, these are incredibly versatile and can be worn in every season.
