I don’t know about you, but I really like all the silhouettes happening in fashion right now— especially in pants! Joggers are now a staple item, full-length trousers are really having a moment, and so many styles of denim are available from mom jeans to straight leg to wide leg cuts.
I recently made some green, wide leg pants using this pattern and this fabric. It was a pretty easy project and I loved the end result! Not only are the pants comfortable, but they’re interesting and weaving them into my wardrobe has been so seamless. It’s been fun and easy to make outfits with wide leg pants. Some are quite casual and others a bit more elevated. Here is how I’ve been wearing my wide leg pants this season!
1.) White Button-Up Shirt + Pants + Ankle Boots
Shirt (size 2 – small) gifted, use code MICHELLETOMCZAK for $25 off your purchase | Pomona Pants made by me with cotton/linen fabric (similar, similar, similar) | Earrings | Bag | Boots (old from Zara – new version)
If you see something you like you can shop for the item(s) and support my blog at the same time by purchasing through the affiliate links in this post. As always, I really appreciate your your support!
This would be an everyday look for some, but it’s slightly elevated for me. The pairing of this top and pants gives an effortless yet put together feeling. You could swap the boots for sandals or mules to make this into a spring outfit.
2.) Black Turtleneck Sweater + Wide Leg Pants + Ankle Boots
Sweater (medium) | Earrings | Necklace 1 – similar | Necklace 2 | for $25 off your purchase | Pomona Pants made by me with cotton/linen fabric (similar, similar, similar) | Boots (size up one half to one full size)
This outfit is so comfortable. It’s cozy yet put together which is a combo that I’m all about these days. It has a color block feel to it and it works great for an everyday outfit.
3.) Blazer + Wide Leg Pants + Mules
Blazer (old from H&M – similar, similar) | Tank Top (old from Target – similar) | Earrings | Necklace (Bexley 20″ by Sheena Marshall – similar) | for $25 off your purchase | Pomona Pants made by me with cotton/linen fabric (similar, similar, similar) | Mules – old from Madewell – similar (I have these in another color and I recommend sizing up 1/2 size), similar) | Bag – old from ABLE – same style in another color
This one is my favorite. If you’ve followed me for any amount of time, you probably know by now how much I love to wear blazers— with everything! See this post, and this one. Here I’m wearing bone mules and a white tank, which takes the pant and jacket pairing towards spring. This look feels like a good mixture of tailored and laid-back.
4.) Crewneck Sweater + Pants + White Sneakers
Sweater (medium) | for $25 off your purchase | Pomona Pants made by me with cotton/linen fabric (similar, similar, similar) | Bag | Necklace (Bexley 20″ by Sheena Marshall – similar) | Sneakers
This feels the most laid-back of the bunch. It’s the perfect outfit to throw on for running errands. I love it as is, but you could also complete it more by adding a top layer like a denim jacket or a moto jacket.
5.) Sweater + Wide Leg Pants + Combat Boots
Sweater (sold out from H&M – similar) | Pomona Pants made by me with cotton/linen fabric (similar, similar, similar) | Necklace (Bexley 20″ by Sheena Marshall – similar) | Bag | Boots
Once in awhile you just need a fun color combo, and this outfit has that. Here I paired a pink sweater with the olive pants, but added black shoes and accessories to keep the look grounded. Throwing on a black jacket would really tie it all together too.
6.) Blouse + Wide Leg Pants + High Top Sneakers
Shirt (medium) | Pomona Pants made by me with cotton/linen fabric (similar, similar, similar) | Necklace (Bexley 20″ by Sheena Marshall – similar) | Bag | Sneakers
This outfit feels very me. I love wearing sneakers, and my favorite tops always have some sort of feminine detail. Here I have a slightly puffed, balloon sleeve top. I added the cognac bag to bring in a warm tone and I love it.
7.) Cardigan Sweater + Wide Leg Pants + Mary Janes
Sweater (small) | Pomona Pants made by me with cotton/linen fabric (similar, similar, similar) | Necklace (Bexley 20″ by Sheena Marshall – similar) | Bag | Shoes ( whole sizes only so I sized down 1/2 size)
For this outfit I grabbed my most-worn cardigan sweater, buttoned-up and worn as a top. I paired it with my mary jane shoes (a style I’ve been loving lately) and a classic black bag. This is a super comfortable, everyday look.
8.) Denim Jacket + Pants + Slip-On Sneakers
Denim Jacket (small) | Tank (old – similar) | Pomona Pants made by me with cotton/linen fabric (similar, similar, similar) | Necklace (Bexley 20″ by Sheena Marshall – similar) | Bag | Shoes
This outfit combo feels laid-back and cool. Popping on some sunglasses would have really solidified that— ha! The oversized, black washed denim jacket and checkered slip-on sneakers give this a really lived-in and youthful feeling.
9.) Chore Coat + Pants + Mules
Jacket ( old – similar, similar) | Tank Top (medium) | Sunglasses | Earrings | Necklace (Bexley 20″ – similar) | Pants pattern & fabric (similar, similar, similar) | Shoes (old from Madewell – similar)
This last look is giving me spring vibes! I love the subtle purple of the tank paired with the olive green pants. The bone mules give the outfit a look of freshness that feels spring-y and light.
