I loved wearing tailored trousers in the spring so now that it’s summer I’m wearing tailored shorts. My beloved jeans have been swapped for denim shorts. This makes transitioning from spring bottoms to summer shorts super easy.

Today I’m sharing my favorite summer shorts for 2022!

1.) Pleated Black Shorts: I loved my black trousers in the spring, so I knew I wanted some pleated black shorts for summer. I like the length on these. They’re a linen blend— very soft, and they fit true to size.

2.) Green Shorts: Green is my favorite non-neutral color to wear— it pairs well with so many things. I love the paper bag waist on this pair. These fit true to size.

3.) Pleated Tan Shorts (similar, similar): My exact ones are sold out but I linked a couple similar options from the same brand. As with the black, I had tan trousers in the spring and knew immediately I needed a summer version and I’ve been loving wearing these.

4.) White Denim Shorts: These are a great staple item. White always feels so fresh and classic— these will never go out of style. True to size.

5.) Black Denim Shorts: Another great staple pair of shorts. I love my black washed denim jeans so having the shorts version makes it easy to continue on with the outfits for summer. True to size.

6.) Purple Pleated Shorts: I love this muted pop of color for summer. The fit on these is great and having one pair of colorful shorts has been really fun. I sized up in the purple but my true size fit in the brown.

7.) Denim Shorts: My classic, forever go-to. These are true to size.

8.) Belted Denim Shorts: I love the dark wash and more finished look of these shorts. This is one of my favorite brands.

9.) Tailored Shorts: I have these shorts in brown and black. They’re tailored but not pleated/trouser-y feeling. They’re super high-waisted and I love the length. These are true to size.

10.) Distressed Denim Shorts (new version): My classic, forever go-to. I sized up one size in this pair.

11.) Tailored Printed Shorts: I wanted some printed shorts for summer and I knew these were it when I saw them because of the subtle neutral print, tailored style, and linen blend fabric. I have a matching top so I can wear the set, but I also love styling these separately too. True to size.
