Summer weather is here and so are summer outfit combos! Each season, I gravitate towards certain items and end up creating outfit combos that I wear on repeat. Last summer I started recording my favorite outfit combinations. Since then, I’ve been sharing them seasonally! If you want to discover yours, I recommend taking photos of your outfits (just a quick mirror selfie) and/or writing down what you wear. Then you can go over your photos/notes to find repeated combinations. Or, you can do the reverse and start with a list of combinations that you have seen and like and then create your outfits from the combinations.
Benefits of Summer Outfit Combos:
- They un-complicate getting dressed and allow you to quickly make outfits you love.
- You can easily repeat them. It won’t get boring because you can still be creative within the combination— it’s just a framework!
- They help you better identify and understand your personal style.
Summer Outfit Combos:
1.) Dress + White Sneakers
Dress (old from H&M – similar, similar, similar) | Bag | Sneakers

Dress | Jacket (I sized down one size) | Sunglasses | Earrings | Sneakers
This summer outfit combo was one of my favorites last year and I still love it so much this year. During the hot months, dresses are a practical option for staying cool. I love how white sneakers add a freshness and a relaxed feel to dresses.
2.) Muscle Tee + Non-Denim Shorts
Hat (old from Madewell – similar) | Earrings | Shirt (I sized down one size) | Belt | Shorts (old from Abercrombie – new version) | Bag | Sandals (old sold in whole sizes and I wear a half size so I sized up)
Muscle Tee (I sized down one size) | Shorts (I sized down two sizes) | Sandals
This summer outfit combo is a new one for me this year. I started wearing this style of top in the spring with my Agolde 90s Jeans and have transitioned that idea into this summer combination. I prefer this top with non-denim shorts because all of my denim shorts are cut offs, and something about the muscle tee with cut offs is not my vibe. However, I think this style of top would work well with hemmed denim shorts— I’ve been thinking I should get some. I love how fresh the exaggerated shoulders feel on this style of top. It is also breezier than a regular tee which is helpful in hot temps!
3.) Graphic Tee + Denim Shorts + Sneakers
Graphie Tee | White Shorts (4″ mom shorts – sold out – similar same brand) | Earrings | Bag (old from ABLE – similar, similar, similar) | Sneakers
Tee (old from Imogene + Willie – current tees) | Shorts | Bag (old from ABLE – similar) | Sneakers
This summer outfit combo is another repeat from last year. It is a classic combo that will never go out of style. I love that it is easy and comfortable. The graphic adds interest to this look. The amount of styles of graphic tees available is endless which mean this combination can always feel fresh.
4.) Rib-Knit Tank + Denim Shorts
Tank Top | Shorts | Sandals (I size up 1/2 size)
Tank Top | Earrings | Shorts (run a bit big, size down if in-between sizes | Mules
Shorts and a tank top is a classic summer outfit combo. Even though that is true, this combo is new to my summer list this year. I like the specific cut of tank top, which I have in multiple colors. I think it looks chic and fresh this year, even though it is very simple.
5.) Feminine Top + Denim Shorts + Sandals
Shirt (I sized down one size) | Shorts | Earrings | Sandals (I sized up 1/2 size)
Shirt (I sized down one size) | Shorts (run a bit big, size down if in-between sizes | Bag | Sandals (I sized up 1/2 size)
This is an evolution of my favorite spring outfit combination— feminine blouse + 90s jeans + mules. For this summer outfit combo I’ve swapped the jeans for denim cut-off shorts and the mules for sandals. I wore mules and sneakers non-stop last summer, but this year (for the first time in a few years) I’ve been really into sandals— especially slide sandals.
6.) Sweater Top + Shorts + Sandals
Sweater Vest (I sized down two sizes) | Earrings | Shorts (from last year – new version) | Sandals (similar)
Shirt | Shorts (I sized up one size) | Earrings | Bag | Sandals (whole sizes only so I sized up 1/2 size)
Top | Earrings | Shorts (I sized down two sizes) | Sandals (I sized up 1/2 size)
This summer outfit combo is for all of the texture lovers out there. Sweater vests were big throughout the fall and winter. I love how the sweater vest trend has translated into spring and summer tops as well. These are less ideal for incredibly hot days, but work well in mild summer weather.
