Today I’m sharing my go-to spring outfit combos for 2023! Each season I really enjoy identifying what I’m wearing on repeat and sharing these discoveries with you. It’s both fun and beneficial for me. I hope this post inspires you to adopt or discover your own seasonal “uniforms”. I have six spring outfit combos for 2023 that I’m sharing with you here. Some of them are combos I come back to year after year and others are new or an evolution of a previous combo I’ve shared before.
Benefits of Seasonal Outfit Combos:
- They un-complicate getting dressed and allow you to quickly make outfits you love.
- You can easily repeat them. It won’t get boring because you can still be creative within the combination— it’s just a framework!
- They help you better identify and understand your personal style.
Tips for Identifying or Creating Outfit Combos:
- Take photos of your outfits. Snap a quick mirror selfie each day after you get dressed. You can also opt to take written notes of what you wear, but I find photo to be the most helpful.
- Review photos/notes to find repeated combinations. It’s likely that you’ll see repetition in what you wear, and if you’re repeating things that probably means you like it and it’s working for you.
- Help, what if no combinations emerge!? Try the process in reverse. Start with a list of combinations that you have seen and like (check out Pinterest, blogs, social media, if you need inspo), then create your outfit combos from there.

1.) Denim Jacket + Trousers + Sneakers
LEFT: Jacket (tts, size up if you want a looser look, code: MICHELLETOMCZAK15 for 15% off) | Black Sweetheart Necklace (gifted, code: MICHELLETOM10 for 10% off) | Shirt (old – similar) | Bag (gifted, code: MICHELLETOMCZAK15 for 15% off) | Pants (gifted, tts) | Sneakers (men’s 6.5 and I wear women’s 7.5)
RIGHT: Jacket (tts, size up if you want a looser look, code: MICHELLETOMCZAK15 for 15% off) | Shirt (old from Old Navy – similar ) | Taylor Pants in Pine (gifted, tts, code: MICHELLETOMCZAK for 15% off) | Bag | Shoes (I wear size 7.5 but these are men’s so I got 6.5)
I really like this first combination because it’s juxtaposed and it feels modern/fresh. The base is a really classic pairing of trousers and either a feminine blouse (right) or classic button up (left). Adding a denim jacket immediately adds texture and a casual element to the look. Shoes are such a driver in the feel of an outfit. Adding sneakers— another casual element, pairs back well with the jacket and feels modern with the trousers.
2.) Statement Denim + Tee + Jacket
LEFT: Trench Coat (gifted, tts) | Hoodie (old – similar) | Tee (gifted, tts) | Short Necklace (gifted) | Amelia Necklace (gifted, code: MICHELLETOMCZAK10 for 10% off) | Bag (code: MICHELLETOMCZAK15 for 15% off) | Belt | Jeans | Sneakers (tts, code: MICHELLE15 for 15% off your first order)
RIGHT: Jacket (tts for fitted, size up for relaxed, code: MICHELLETOMCZAK15 for 15% off | Amelia Necklace (gifted, code: MICHELLETOMCZAK10 for 10% off) | Short Necklace (gifted) | Tee (tts) | Jeans (I sized down one size) | Bag (code: MICHELLE15 for 15% off) | Shoes (sold out, tts, black version, code: MICHELLE15 for 15% off your first order)
I’m in my statement denim era. I am a huge fan of denim, it’s one of my favorite things. This season I’ve embraced so many different styles— baggy, cargo, barrel leg, etc. It’s honestly been so fun and I’ve been enjoying all of the different shapes. Since the denim is full of details, I love pairing them with a solid neutral or neutral striped tee. Working off the base I add a neutral, flat shoe— sneaker, loafer, ballet flat, etc. For early spring I add any spring jacket— a trench coat, leather jacket, denim jacket, bomber jacket, etc. This outfit combination feels really wearable and the jeans add a touch of whimsy, which I’m personally always a fan of.
3.) Dress + Sneakers
LEFT: Dress (gifted, I sized down one and it’s still roomy) | Bag | Amelia Necklace (gifted, code: MICHELLETOMCZAK10 for 10% off) | Sneakers (tts, code: MICHELLE15 for 15% off your first order)
RIGHT: Dress (old from Old Navy) | Bag | Sunglasses (same style new color) | Sneakers (tts, code: MICHELLE15 for 15% off your first order)
This outfit combination has a been a go-to for me year after year. I love wearing sneakers with dresses. It’s easy, comfortable, and I love the juxtaposition (or contrast) in the pairing of an elevated piece (dress) + casual element (sneakers). This outfit combo feels laid back yet put together, or casual chic, and that is something I’m always going for. Any style of spring jacket could be added to this look if needed.
4.) Button Up/Blouse + Jeans + Flats
TOP LEFT: Shirt (tts for intended oversized fit) | Jeans (I sized down one size for relaxed, consider two sizes for fitted) | Bag (gifted, code: MICHELLE15 for 15% off your. first order) | Shoes (tts)
TOP RIGHT: Denim Shirt (tts for intended oversized look, gifted) | Tee (tts) | Bag (gifted – similar for less) | Jeans (tts for relaxed fit) | Sneakers (tts, code: MICHELLE15 for 15% off your first order)
BOTTOM LEFT: Shirt (old from Old Navy – similar ) | Jeans (I sized down one size) | Bag (gifted, code: MICHELLETOMCZAK15 for 15% off) | Sneakers (tts, code: MICHELLE15 for 15% off your first order)
BOTTOM RIGHT: Standard Shirt in Noir (gifted, tts) | Le Palazzo Cropped Jeans (gifted, tts) | Bag (gifted, code: MICHELLE15 for 15% off your first order) | Jacket (tts) | Shoes (old from Frēda Salvador – similar, code: MICHELLE15 for 15% off your first order)
This outfit combination is one I would say evolved out of a go-to outfit combo that I wore for years— a feminine blouse, jeans, and mules. I got to a point that I started to reach for not just mules, but any flat shoes— loafers, oxfords, sneakers, ballet flats, etc. I also started grabbing not just feminine blouse, but classic button ups too. So it’s sort of an evolution, but more of an expansion of my original combo.
5.) Shorts + Long Sleeves
LEFT: Sweatshirt (sold out from H&M – similar) | Short Necklace (gifted) | Amelia Necklace (gifted, code: MICHELLETOMCZAK10 for 10% off) | Bag (gifted, code: MICHELLE15 for 15% off your first order) | Shorts (tts) | Sneakers (men’s 6.5 and I wear women’s 7.5)
RIGHT: Jacket (tts for fitted or size up for relaxed, code: MICHELLETOMCZAK15 for 15% off) | Shirt (old from Old Navy – similar) | Shorts (I sized down 2 sizes) | Bag (gifted, code: MICHELLE15 for 15% off your first order) | Shoes (gifted, sold out – similar – code: MICHELLE15 for 15% off your first order)
This combination is another one that I’ve worn for years. I honestly think I like it because there is only short spurts of time where it works with the weather, and it’s the reverse of how most people naturally dress as the weather changes— ha! Enneagram four here, IYKYK. : ) People generally swap long sleeves for short sleeves or heavier materials with lighter materials and stick with pants. This makes sense in times of transitional weather because you can grab a jacket or cardigan if needed. I like to “live on the edge” sometimes, haha. If you gauge this one wrong with the weather you end up with cold legs, but I’m fine with that.
6.) Jumpsuit + Sneakers
LEFT: Jumpsuit (tts) | Sweater (tts) | Necklace (gifted) | Bag | Shoes (I wear size 7.5 but these are men’s so I got 6.5)
RIGHT: Jumpsuit (tts – similar for less) | Bandana – new version | Bag | Sneakers (tts, code: MICHELLE15 for 15% off your first order)
I love jumpsuits! They’re a really easy throw-on-and-go piece, just like a dress. The one piece outfit cuts down decision-making and immediately looks put together. Any shoes or spring jacket will work with casual jumpsuits.
