Nothing says fall like sweaters, so today I’m sharing my Sézane fall knitwear favorites for 2023. I’ve been gravitating towards knitwear and jackets a lot this fall. I love dressing in an easy base (like jeans and a tee) when the weather is cold. Then, adding interest to my outfits with a layer (sweater or jacket). And finally, steering the feel of the outfit with accessories like shoes and bags.

Sézane is known for it’s iconic knits, and this year, they celebrated ten years of knitwear by opening a knit bar in their stores. The styles are also available online. Sézane offers every style, fiber, and color you could ever want— there are so many choices. I find their knits to fit super well and be really high quality. I’ll share what I have plus what is on my wishlist this season.

My Favorite Knitwear from Sézane: Fall 2023

Léontine Sweater

Stripes are iconic and this 100% organic cotton sweater with balloon sleeves, is super versatile and comfy. This sweater is not itchy all. I first got the ecru color in my true size last year and have loved it. It’s roomy enough that I was curious about the size down, which I ordered in the navy. The size down also works, it’s just less roomy.

This cardigan is super soft and fluffy. I first got the gray in my true size last year and it’s great and roomy. This year I opted to get the multi-colored one in a size down, which I like that size more— but both work. If you have sensitive skin, this one could potentially be a bit itchy as it’s 55% Alpaca / 15% Wool / 30% Polyamide. Although, if you layer a shirt underneath, you should be good.

The Betty Cardigan is the latest addition to my Sézane knitwear collection and I love it! I don’t have anything else like it. It’s more of a cropped length, but not too cropped. It gives jacket vibes— you can easily wear it open or closed. It isn’t itchy at all. It’s 100% merino wool. You can get this cardigan in variety of solid colors, and a few stripe options as well. In this one I got my true size and I definitely couldn’t have sized down. If you’re between sizes I’d recommend sizing up.

I love this cardigan. It’s really lightweight and fluffy. I like wearing it as a shirt or open as a cardigan. I think this one runs a full size big as sizing down one fits just like my true size would. If you have sensitive skin, the Gaspard cardigan might feel itchy as it’s 37% super kid mohair / 37% baby alpaca / 26% polyamide. Again, you can layer something underneath if you’re worried about it being itchy. This sweater is available in a ton of colors and each season they come out with new color offerings.
