Let’s chat about the fall 2024 outfits combos I’m wearing on repeat this season. I’m excited to share them with you today! It’s really cooled down here, so it feels like the perfect time to chat about this. Each go-to fall outfit combo works visually, embodies my personal style, and is something I can depend on to work. Some of the combos are tried and true basic outfit combinations that many people wear, like a sweater and jeans. But— it doesn’t have to be boring. Within each of the combos I’m sharing, you can be really creative.

I like the cardi-as-a-top trend. It isn’t flashy or new, but it is a new way to wear what you probably already own. I like how it is customizable— button all the way up, front tuck, button the bottom and leave the top undone, button the top and leave the bottom undone, thin fabric, thick fabric, plain or with a stripe.

This second combo is the one that I want to grab every single day lately. Denim is my favorite. Crewneck sweatshirts are so comfy and there are so many good ones available this year. Love a loafer with these two pieces as it helps elevate the look. You can do socks or not, both look great. Overall it feels elevated casual which is definitely my vibe.

I love how jumpsuits look, plus their one-and-done quality. For fall I like a long-sleeved version or I’ll add a top layer. I like adding interest with accessories, and switching up the feel of the outfit with my shoe choice.

I say this every year when I share this fall outfit combo— simple isn’t basic. Yes, this combination is easy and definitely not a new idea, but the opportunity to create modern and interesting outfits within this combination is endless. Consider your: silhouettes (shape), fabrications (texture), color, proportions, and accessories, when making your outfit.

Our fall weather is warm enough, in Nashville, that dresses work wonderfully. I personally wear them with either sneakers or flats. I make sure to have a top layer, of some kind, to add if I feel chilly. A chic handbag and sunglasses immediately make this combo look cooler.

I’m a denim girl, through and through. My friends from high school just reminded me that I’d geek out about silver jeans when I was 16. Remember those? My taste has evolved and my love of denim has only grown. It’s something you can count on seeing throughout my go-to outfit combos in every season.

7.) Oversized Button Up Shirt + Pants + Sling Bag

I’ve worn so many version of this combination. I love an oversized button up worn in a relaxed way, with cuffed sleeves, an open neck, and the last few buttons undone. Sling bags are one of my favorite styles and I love how they look breaking up the oversized shirt. On the bottom, it’s jeans of casual pants and some sort of flat shoe— plus sunnies, always. : )

This style of jacket, plus my denim jacket, have been my most worn so far this fall. I love trench coats and bomber jackets too and I foresee wearing them more as the weather keeps cooling down. The barn coat/chore coat/field jacket is nice and casual. It looks amazing layered, almost like an oversized shirt. They’re so wearable in versatile colors— I have green, tan, and cream.
