Blazer: Jenni Kayne (similar here and here) // Shirt: Target // Pants: H&M // Boots: Madewell // Bag: Nordstrom // Bracelets: Alex & Ani
Sometimes it just feels good to add a pop of color into an outfit. I really like this red blazer that I purchased at UAL for more than 90% off (told you – gem). Blazers are really flattering during pregnancy because they are fitted and they frame the baby bump. Blazers are easy to wear because they work with so many different styles of shirts. I personally really like to wear them over t-shirts and casual shirts because they look more hip and less business. It is an easy item to pull from your closet because they look best left open- no need to buy a maternity version!
This is the maternity shirt from Target that I raved about in a previous post. It is comfy, casual, affordable, versatile- I couldn’t love it more! I like to layer with this shirt but it looks good on it’s own as well.
Apparently a reversible tote is the deal this year because I have seen versions of this bag popping up all over town (Nordstrom, Free People and Urban Outfitters). I don’t usually use big bags and totes as my everyday handbag, but I got this one because it fits my laptop and I am able to carry it with me to coffee shops. This bag has been really practical for me and it goes well with pretty much anything I am wearing. I flip it back and forth between cognac and black, depending on my outfit or my mood.
I have lots of boots in a variety of styles, but I am really only craving wearing ankle boots this year. I love this pair because they are simple and go with a lot, the leather is really great quality (pretty and pebbly), and they have a zip closure. I have found that some pull-on boots are tough to get on and off in later pregnancy with a huge belly to try to work around. There is always a balance between something looking cool and being practical/comfortable, so I am always aiming to find things to wear that I think are both!
