As the end of 2020 approaches I can look back and say, without a doubt, that I spent the majority of the year at home wearing comfy things like pajamas, leggings and sweatsuits. Denim is my favorite thing to wear but for days at home nothing beats comfy loungewear. So why not take your sweatsuit and kick it up a notch for grocery runs and front porch hangs with your people?! Here are five outfit ideas to elevate your sweatsuit so you can leave the house in it!
Outfit #1: Sweatsuit + Blazer + White Sneakers
Blazer (size down one) | Sunglasses (old Tom Ford – similar) | Sweatshirt (tts) | Sweatpants (tts) | Socks | Sneakers
Let’s jump right in with my favorite of the five looks. I love the look of the blazer with the hood of the sweatshirt coming out the back. This is casual meets dressy and it somehow works perfectly, giving you a meet-in-the-middle look. I added some neutral socks and you guessed it— my favorite white sneakers. This everyday look is 2020 perfection!

Outfit #2: Sweatsuit + Oversized Denim Jacket + Beanie + Slip-on Sneakers
Jacket | Beanie | Sunglasses (old Tom Ford – similar) | Sweatshirt | Sweatpants | Sneakers
This look is casual and fun! It is still neutral, but the texture of the hat, scale of the oversized denim jacket, and checkered sneakers add all kinds of visual interest.
Outfit #3: Sweatsuit + Belt Bag + Boots
Belt Bag (same style in matte fabric) | Sunglasses (old from Warby Parker) | Sweatshirt | Sweatpants | Boots (sold out from H&M – similar)
No layers necessary for this look, just add some striking accessories and you’ve elevated your loungewear to streetwear. The belt bag and boots are bold pieces against this light sweatsuit, they coordinate creating balance and bringing edginess to this look.
Outfit #4: Sweatsuit + Military Jacket + Combat Boots
Jacket (old from Madewell – new version) | Sweatshirt | Sweatpants | Boots (old – similar, similar, similar)
I really like the shapes and proportions in this outfit— it is an easy, everyday look. However, I think it would look a bit better with a sweatsuit that was either a darker or lighter color so that there is more value contrast between the sweatsuit, jacket, and boots..
Outfit #5: Sweatsuit + Faux Leather Jacket + Sneakers
Jacket | Sweatshirt | Sweatpants | Sneakers
This last outfit combo is another easy, everyday look. A black faux leather jacket and black sneakers are easy items to throw on and go with almost any color sweatsuit!
