When I first spotted the Citizens of Humanity Gaucho Jeans online, I was immediately drawn to them. The two things that stood out were the wash and the cut, both giving vintage denim vibes. I went to a local boutique in Nashville to try them on and it was a yes please, these are coming home with me.

How Do the Citizens of Humanity Gaucho Jeans Fit?

The website says the Gaucho Jeans are true to size, but I think they run big. If you’re in-between sizes, I recommend sizing down if you want them to be fitted. If you prefer a relaxed look, grab your true size. This style is high-waisted (12.74″ rise) with a button fly and a cropped wide leg (26.5″inseam). I am 5’7″ and you can see the length on me in the photos above.

What are the Citizens of Humanity Gaucho Jeans made of?

The jeans are 100% organic cotton (rigid yet soft) so they start off tight and then relax and mold to your shape with wear. I have them in the wash ‘Sodapop’ and it’s a perfectly lived-in, mid blue. The Gaucho Jeans are currently offered in nine different washes— black, white and a range of different blues.
