Creating a comfortable, put-together outfit can easily be achieved by throwing on a casual black jumpsuit. I recently shared a flowy tan jumpsuit. I loved styling it, so I picked up this black jumpsuit and I absolutely love! It is true to size and for length reference, I am five-foot-seven inches tall. The fabric is thin enough that I think you could easily roll the hems if you are shorter. The black jumpsuit is made of a lightweight cotton gauze fabric, so it is comfortable and it doesn’t show wrinkles easily since gauze fabric has a slight texture to it. It is really affordable and available in a few colors— so many wins with this jumpsuit! If you already have a black jumpsuit in your closet, hopefully these outfit ideas will add to the ways that you wear it!
Black Jumpsuit: Casual Outfit Ideas
1.) Straw Hat + Black Sandals

This outfit is perfect as the weather begins to gets hot. The material of this jumpsuit is really light and the fit is a bit airy which is helpful in not getting too hot. The straw sun hat is really cute plus offers sun protection. These sandals are so worn in and comfortable— I’ve had them for I think six years and they are still going strong!
2.) White Shirt + Tan Sandals
Jumpsuit | Shirt (old from Madewell – similar) | Bag | Shoes (sold in whole sizes and I wear a half size so I sized up)
I am always happy to put together a black, white, and tan look. Here the tan is actually more cognac. I love the light, white, button-front top tied around the waist over the jumpsuit, and the big cognac tote repeating the color of the slide sandals. This combination is perfect for both spring and summer.
3.) Denim Jacket + Cheetah Print Mules
Jumpsuit | Jacket | Bag (old from ABLE – similar, similar, similar) | Shoes
Here is another black, white, and tan combination, but with a light denim jacket as the top layer. These cheetah mules are such a staple item for me— they elevate and add whimsy to every outfit that I add them to. This combination works so well in spring weather!
4.) Tee + Platform Sandals
Jumpsuit | Tee | Earrings | Sandals
These platform sandals have been such a fun add to my wardrobe this season. Since they are made of my go-to colors of black, white, and tan, they coordinate with so many things in my wardrobe. The platform sandals help elevate this jumpsuit a bit, white the gray tee underneath keeps it casual. I always love mixing different feelings so my outfit isn’t too much of one thing, and so my outfit pulls towards casual.
5.) Blazer + Sandals
Blazer (old from H&M – same style in a different material) | Jumpsuit | Earrings | Sandals
Adding a blazer and some slide sandals makes this look feel fresh. I think a pair of sunglasses would take this up a notch, and now I wish I had added some! This looks is so wearable but it feels less casual than the other ways I have styled it, and I love this option. I really love variety and versatility!
6.) Colored Bag + White Sneakers
Jumpsuit | Bag (old Joy Gryson) | Sneakers
The easiest look to throw on and go! My favorite white sneakers work well with this jumpsuit, and to give this otherwise really simple look more interest, I added a pop of color with this blue, crossbody bag.
7.) Cream Cardigan Sweater + Sandals
Jumpsuit | Cardigan (I sized down one size) | Bag (old from ABLE – similar, similar, similar) | Sandals
Back with the platform sandals, but this time I added my favorite balloon sleeve, rib-knit cardigan sweater that I have worn on repeat this spring. It has been the perfect top layer with so many outfits. I love this combination for a casual dinner out!
