Agolde Riley jeans were my first ever purchase from Agolde. I have had this style of jeans for three years. Just like I mentioned in my review of Levi’s 501 Skinny jeans, this style was a gateway from thin, stretchy, skinny jeans to rigid, 100% cotton, straight leg jeans.
I remember when I got this pair of Agolde Riley jeans, I was super impressed with the wash and the fit— they are so flattering. I was immediately hooked on the brand and purchased the Parker Shorts one month after getting these and my collection grew from there, thanks to lots of sale hunting!

How to Agolde Riley Jeans Fit?
Agolde’s website says this style is true to size. They also say it’s one of their closer fitting styles, so if you’re in-between sizes you could consider sizing up. I think this is accurate. I have my true size, 28, and they are nice and fitted, just like I like them.
The inseam is 26″ and as described in the name, they are cropped on me and I am 5’7″. I’ve seen them on a couple of ladies who are a few inches shorter than me and they look more like ankle length, which looks great and makes them more versatile because you can wear them in any season. Since this style is cropped on me, I tend to wear them the most in spring and fall, and not often in winter when I am wearing boots.
The cut of the leg is what I would describe as slim straight. It’s definitely not skinny, but it’s not as wide as the 90’s straight leg jeans (reviewed here).
They are high rise— 11 1/2 inches, with a button fly closer.
The fabric is 100% cotton, so rigid with no stretch. As with all rigid denim, they start out tight and then loosen and meld to your shape with wear. The wash I have is a light, clean wash called, renewal, It’s still available, here. Additionally, you can find this style of jeans in a white wash, black wash, and a range of blue washes (some clean and other with distressing).
Agolde Riley High Rise Straight Crop Jeans Outfits
1.) Tee + Riley Jeans + Cheetah Print Mules
Tee (small) | Sunglasses (same style in another color) | Necklace (Bexley 20″ by Sheena Marshall – similar) | Bag | Jeans | Shoes
This outfit has some spring vibes! I really like wearing mules with these jeans, it’s probably my favorite shoe choice to pair with them. Here I have cheetah print mules to add some interest to the outfit. The basic black tee I’m wearing here is the absolute softest, most drapey tee— it’s so lovely and I have it in a few colors. I’ll definitely be wearing it on repeat this spring and summer.
2.) Turtleneck + Trench Coat + Jeans + Dress Boots
Turtleneck (medium) | Trench Coat (old from H&M – similar, similar, similar) | Boots (whole sizes only so I sized down 1/2 size) | Bag (old from ABLE – similar) | Earrings | Necklace (Bexley 20″ by Sheena Marshall – similar)
This second look feels like an elevated, everyday outfit. I love the neutrals with the denim and the pop of color from the handbag. I almost never wear these jeans with boots. This is the only pair of boots that I have that works with them. If you’re a few inches shorter than me, these would probably work well with lots of boots.
3.) Feminine Blouse + Agolde Riley Jeans + Oxfords
Shirt (medium) | Jeans | Bag (same style in another color) | Shoes (tts)
In this look I’m wearing a combo that is a go-to of mine— a feminine blouse, jeans, and some kind of flat shoes. Here I picked oxfords and the overall look feels put together, but still like an everyday look.
4.) Moto Jacket + Crewneck Sweater + Jeans + Heels
Jacket (old – similar) | Sweater (old – similar) | Necklace (Bexley 20″ by Sheena Marshall – similar) | Sunglasses | Bag | Jeans | Heels (old – similar)
In this last outfit, I paired the jeans with heels and it works really well. I added the moto jacket over a soft sweater and black accessories to keep it all looking balanced. The end look feels a bit chic and elevated, but still laid back.

I’m also newly joining the Agolde fan Club and was wondering if you could do a fit comparison of the straight styles you have, like Riley, Fen, etc. Would love to know the differences in terms of hips, waist, leg fit and the like.
