As someone who loves denim, it’s been exciting to see all of the silhouettes, styles, and washes currently on the market— I love variety! I’ve been wearing high-rise jeans for years and I really love them. However, I’ve seen more and more mid-rise (and even some low rise— eeeep) jeans from various denim brands. I recently got the Mia Mid Rise Straight Jeans from Agolde in the wash “dimension” and I’ll be reviewing them today in this post.
How do Agolde Mia Jeans Fit?
Agolde’s website recommends getting your true size in this style. I purchased my true size, 28, and the fit was initially very snug, like hard to zip. Because they are made of 100% organic cotton denim (rigid but soft, with no stretch), I knew they would relax with wear so I stuck with my true size and they loosened up just enough.
I mentioned zipping the jeans. They do have a zip fly which is different because most of Agolde’s jeans have a button fly. The rise on the jeans is 11 1/2 inches which for me comes right up to my belly button. My high-rise jeans from Agolde hit above my belly button, closer to my natural waist.
The inseam on this style is 28 1/2 inches, which is right at a standard regular length and it’s a straight leg cut. I am 5’7″ and they come right to the top of my ankle.
The wash I have is call dimension, but they are also available in an even lighter blue wash, a distressed knees wash medium wash, white, and a washed black.

I really love white tops for spring. They feel bright, fresh, and easy. I’ve been enjoying adding colorful accessories into my outfits this spring— whether it be a handbag, sunglasses, or shoes like these purple slide sandals. The pops of color feel like little hints of fun in my outfits and that makes me happy.
2.) Rib-Knit Cardigan + Jeans + Mules
Cardigan (small) | Necklace (Bexley 20″ – similar from the same brand) | Bag | Jeans | Shoes (size up 1/2)
The second look is full of texture which is an element of interest that I love in outfits. The rib-knit sweater, rigid cotton denim, and woven leather mules are all somewhat simple in form but they each bring a different texture to the outfit. This is my favorite way to wear a cardigan sweater in the spring— buttoned-up as a top and front tucked. I think this is the perfect neutral, spring outfit combination.
3.) Moto Jacket + White Tank Top + Mia Jeans + High Tops
Jacket | Tank Top | Bag (old from ABLE – similar, similar) | Jeans | Sneakers (I sized down 1/2 size – similar for less)
This third outfit feels a bit edgy, yet relaxed. Each piece in this look is pretty classic. I added the tan handbag to bring a pop for warmth and break up the black and white a bit. Sneakers are such a go-to for me because they are so comfortable and they add a casual feeling to outfits. I love how the black high tops pair back to the black jacket and create balance in this look.
4.) Button Up Linen Shirt + Jeans + White Sneakers
Shirt (size 2 – use code MICHELLETOMCZAK for $25 off your purchase) | Earrings | Necklace (Bexley 20″ – similar from the same brand) | Bag (old) | Jeans | Sneakers
This outfit is super casual. Like the second look, this has materials and texture that I love. My top is linen, which is one of my favorite fabrics to wear for spring. Denim is always a favorite of mine. The white leather sneakers make this outfit feel fresh and laid-back.
5.) Puff Sleeve Blouse + Mia Jeans + Mary Janes
Shirt (sold out from Old Navy – similar) | Necklace (Bexley 20″ – similar from the same brand) | Bag (old from Madewell – similar, similar, similar) | Jeans | Shoes (whole sizes only so I sized down 1/2)
This outfit feels very spring-y and very me. I always love puff sleeve blouses. This little straw bag is from last year and carried it almost every day in the spring and summer. I anticipate that will be true again this year. I love how the simple, feminine mary jane shoes tie back to the feminine blouse.
6.) Blazer + Graphic Tee + Jeans + Heels
Blazer (sold out from H&M – similar options) | Tee | Earrings | Necklace (Bexley 20″ – similar from the same brand) | Bag | Jeans | Heels (sold out from H&M – similar)
I wanted to add one look with heels so you could see the jeans with a heel. I still love blazers so much and one of my favorite things to pair them with is a graphic tee. This outfit would work well for a casual night out. If heels aren’t your thing, I would swap these out for the black high top converse or some kinda of black flat or sandal.
