Fall fashion fever has officially set in for me and I’m craving all of the fall outfits. When I sat down to go over my seasonal wardrobe and create a wishlist, one of the first items I added to the list was black, wide leg trousers. The pair in this post are the Loulou trousers from Sézane (gifted).

If you follow me on Instagram, I shared that I ordered the Loulou trousers right when Sézane launched their fall collection, warning everyone that they’d sell out fast. By the time they arrived, as I anticipated, they were sold out in black. I got my true size and they fit perfectly. I’m 5’7″ and the length is just right on me.

The Loulou trousers are still available in green and in cream. I hope they restock the black, but if not, I will add some similar options here for you to check out (one, two, three, four, five, six, seven).

Traditionally, trousers are a workwear piece but they’ve become a popular streetwear piece, along with blazers and button down shirts— the tailored trend has been here but seems to only be gaining popularity. I work from home and my style is very casual, so most of the outfits I’m sharing in this post are just that— casual, but in most cases, the swap of a shoe can make the outfits office appropriate.

I am super into this outfit combo and I forsee repeating versions of it all through fall and winter. Juxtaposition is a big part of my style so I love the casual sneakers paired with the more dressy trousers. I also love texture and this sweater has lots of it. Neutrals are also a favorite of mine and this outfit embodies that as well. This outfit is super wearable for everyday, and as I mentioned above, swap the shoes if you need to dress it up more for work.

This second outfit is the most workwear appropriate. Again, a neutral look, but with a plaid blazer and heel sandals. Blazers are one of my favorite kind of garments to wear. This combo would also be great with white sneakers instead of the sandals.

How fun is this third look? I love this stripe sweatshirt with the pop of red lettering— it’s so fun yet wearable. It goes so well with the trousers and bring the juxtaposition of the casual top with the dressy bottoms. I finished the look with white sneaker that stylistically and color-wise, pair back nicely to the sweatshirt.

I love a denim jacket with a white tee and trousers. I first wore this combo in the spring and I am happy to get back to if for fall. It’s great for any day and almost any shoes will work! Here, I’m wearing my favorite tan loafers but I’ve also worn this combo with sneakers in the past.

This last outfit is another neutral look (so shocking, right? ha!). I love the soft, white feminine blouse paired with the sleek, black, leather jacket. The black trousers and the white(ish) sneakers pair back nicely to the shirt and jacket. There are a lot of things going on here— sleek/chic jacket, feminine blouse, tailored pants, casual sneakers, but it works because the outfit is just two colors so it doesn’t look busy despite the different styles happening within the look.
