Today I want to chat about a newer style of jeans from Agolde called, Fen. When I first saw a photo of Fen on Agolde’s website I thought— these might be the jeans that I’ve been looking for. It turns out, I was right.
My first pair of Agolde jeans were the Riley Jeans. (full review, here) I love them but they’re cropped, so I find that I don’t end up wearing them much in the fall and winter. My current favorite style is the Agolde 90s Mid Rise Loose Jeans (full review, here), but I didn’t love them in fall and winter with most of my boots.
I wanted something longer than the Riley and slimmer in the leg than the 90s Jeans. I wasn’t finding it from Agolde, until I saw Fen. When I first slipped them on I knew they would fill that void in my closet between my Rileys and my 90s loose jeans.
How do Agolde Fen Jeans Fit?
Agolde’s website says these jeans run true to size and I agree. I got my true size, 28, and they fit me perfectly. As with all 100% cotton jeans, these start out snug and with wear they relax and mold to your shape. I buy all of mine as tight as possible. Like, one, two, three— suck in and button, tight. After a few wears they loosen up and fit just right.
These jeans have a button fly and the rise is 11 3/4″. They are a high rise style, coming up to my natural waist. The inseam is 28″ which is a standard regular length that on me comes to right above my ankles (I’m 5’7″). The leg shape has a “gentle taper cut to the ankle”, as described on the website.
The wash I have it called, highway. You can find the Fen jeans in six other washes, here. From white to light denim, medium denim with distressed knees, to gray and black washes.
Agolde Fen High Rise Tapered Jeans Outfits:
1.) Sweater Vest + Jeans + High Top Sneakers
Shirt (old from Target – similar) | Sunglasses (gifted) | Earrings | Necklace (similar same brand) | Bag | Jeans | Sneakers (I sized down 1/2 size – similar for less)
If you see something you like you can shop for the item(s) and support my blog at the same time by purchasing through the affiliate links in this post. As always, I really appreciate your support!
This first outfit is a neutral, everyday, spring look. It’s casual and comfortable while still looking put together. The black accessories make it feel casual-chic and the sweater shirt brings a splash of warmth to the outfit.
2.) Puff Sleeve Top + Agolde Fen + Slide Sandals
Shirt (old from H&M – similar, similar) | Necklace (similar same brand) | Bag | Jeans | Sandals
I love the jeans in the center of the white shirt and sandals. The leather tote brings warmth, adding more depth and interest to this outfit. The overall look feels feminine, casual, and spring-y.
3.) Floral Blouse + Jeans + Heel Sandals
Shirt (old from Target – similar) | Earrings | Necklace (similar same brand) | Bag (old from ABLE – similar, similar) | Jeans | Shoes
For the third look I paired the jeans with a statement blouse then added neutral accessories. This outfit feels like an elevated everyday look that I’d wear to church, brunch, or a early, patio dinner date.
4.) Stripe Shirt + Agolde Fen Jeans + Raffia Sandals
Shirt | Earrings | Necklace (similar same brand) | Bag (old from Madewell – similar, similar) | Jeans | Shoes
In this outfit I paired a classic stripe top with the jeans. I kept the look casual and added in some texture by opting for a straw bag and raffia sandals. This outfit is neutral and easy, but it’s still interesting and perfect for everyday wear.
5.) Rib-Knit Tank Top + Jeans + Huarache Sandals
Tank Top | Earrings | Necklace (similar same brand) | Jeans | Bag (old from ABLE – similar, similar) | Shoes (I sized down 1/2 size)
For the last look, I decided to put together an end-of-spring to early summer outfit idea. I paired the jeans with a simple rib-knit tank in a muted lilac. I finished the outfit with neutral, color block huarache sandals and a tan bag. Overall I’d call it simple yet lovely.
