Agolde is known for their vintage-like denim in the perfect, modern cuts. Over the past handful of years, their Parker Shorts have been one of their biggest hits. I got them three years ago in the popular wash, swapmeet. It’s the perfect wash and fit but as hemlines are getting longer, Agolde released the Parker Long Shorts this year. I was really excited because although I love my Parkers, last summer I wore my Agolde Dee shorts (I sized up one size in this style) so much more because they are a bit longer. Now, my favorite style is available in a longer length— yay!
Agolde Parker Long Shorts Washes
The Agolde Parker Long shorts currently come in five washes— panna cotta (white), chromatic (black), parade (light indigo), swapmeet (light indigo), and skywave (medium indigo).
Swapmeet
First, I ordered the wash swapmeet since that is what I have and love in the original parkers, but I found it to be a different and brighter blue than the originals (but with very similar, light distressing). I ultimately did not keep them because they looked very similar to my Agolde Reese shorts that I have in the wash, wonder (full review on those here).

Skywave
Next, I went to a local shop and tried on the wash skywave. It was a nice medium blue but I didn’t like it as much as the medium/dark wash denim shorts that I already own. I could see getting this wash as a second pair of this stye, but I wanted something lighter to balance out my current collection of Agolde denim shorts washes. This wash is clean, with no distressing.

Parade
Last, I ordered the wash parade and of the three blue washes, it’s my favorite. It is a light wash with distressing on both side seams, which feels a bit unique compared to the more normal front and back distressing on denim. I think the Parker Long Shorts in the parade wash look more similar to the the original Parker Shorts in the wash swapmeet, than the swapmeet wash of the Parker Long Shorts. That sort of feels like a tongue twister— ha! I hope you’re tracking with me but if not, you can see what I mean in the comparison photo coming up later in this post.

How do Agolde Parker Long Shorts Fit?
They are one hundred percent organic, cotton denim with a button fly closure. So the fabric has no stretch in it, but they feel nice and soft. They are true to size for a slightly lived-in fit. They’ll start out tighter and then relax and mold to your body shape as you wear them. They are high-waisted with a rise of 11 1/4″, and a 4 5/8″ inseam. (the original Agolde Parker shorts have a 2 1/2″ inseam) The leg opening is 24 1/2″.

Here is a side by side comparison of the Agolde Parker Shorts in the wash swapmeet next to the Agolde Parker Long Shorts in the wash parade. You can see the difference in the length of the inseams.
Agolde Parker Long Shorts Outfit Ideas:
1.) Feminine Blouse + Shorts + Sandals
Hat | Shirt (old from H&M – similar) | Shorts | Bag | Sandals (gifted)
This look feels boho and feminine with a floral, puff sleeve top, strappy sandals, and a straw bag. It’s an everyday look that feels summer appropriate. This combination has been a favorite of mine this summer!
2.) Button Down Shirt + Shorts + Sandals
Shirt (old from Madewell – similar, similar) | Earrings | Shorts | Bag (old from ABLE – similar) | Shoes (old from Nisolo – new version)
Shirt (I sized down one size) | Earrings | Shorts | Sandals
Whether printed or plain, a short-sleeved, button down shirt pairs nicely with casual denim cut-off shorts. The top photo feels fun and casual with the bright gingham print, pop of red with the handbag, and lived-in huarache sandals. The second outfit feels more crisp and elevated-casual with the plain white top and braided, neutral sandals.
3.) Graphic Tee + Shorts + Sneakers
Shirt | Hat | Earrings | Bag (same bag in matte material) | Shorts | Bracelet | Sneakers
This outfit is an easy, super laid-back look. It’s perfect for taking my kids to the park on a hot summer day when I haven’t washed my hair— ha! It’s a throw-on-and-go type of outfit but it’s far from boring. The graphic tee and checkered slip-on sneakers add interest and coordinate well with one another, and the muted pop of color from the baseball hat brings this outfit out of the neutral zone.
4.) V-Neck Tee + Shorts + High Top Sneakers
Shirt | Sunglasses | Shorts | Bag | Bracelet | Earrings | Sneakers
This outfit combination leans into casual as well, which by now you’ve probably noticed is my vibe. I love, love classic sneakers. The straw bag and lightweight top have been staples of mine this summer and adding sunglasses to any outfit automatically makes it feel more chic or cool.
Are Agolde Shorts Worth it?
In my opinion— absolutely! Yes, they are pricey but the fit, detailing, and washes are the best I’ve worn. I’ve had many pairs of my Agolde shorts and jeans for years and they hold up really well. I get so much wear out of them! Sometimes I find Agolde shorts on sale in the off-season, so that is a way to help with the cost. Also, you can find them second-hand on resell sites like Poshmark or The RealReal.
Where To Buy Agolde Shorts
Where I Most Often Buy:
- Local Boutiques: White’s Mercantile & Emerson Grace (in Nashville).
- Shopbop: free shipping & free returns
- Revolve: free shipping and free returns
- Smaller Boutiques online: I have found some on sale at smaller sites/stores when they are almost out of inventory.
Other Sites I Check:
- Aritzia
- Saks Fifth Avenue
- Bloomingdales
- Nordstrom
- Evereve
- Intermix
- Anthropologie
- Urban Outfitters
- Lulus
- Agolde
A note on Agolde’s website: They stock all of their styles so if you can’t find it somewhere else, you can likely find it on their site. However, be ready to pay full price because I have never seen them run sales on their own website in all of the years I have been shopping for this brand.

Hi! Thanks for your amazing review! Just the other day I was thinking how much I wish the Parker short came in a longer length and then I found out from Grace Atwood that they did! So excited! Your description of the washes was very helpful- I have swapmeet too in my Parker’s and I was planning to just get swapmeet in the longer version too, because I love that wash so much- but I might have to get them in parade now.
Lastly, with fit. I agonized when I first bought by Parker shorts between two sizes and finally decided to go with my bigger size and I’m so happy I did. Would you say the longer Parker shorts fit the same in the waist/hip area as the original Parker shorts? I’m hoping I can stick with the same size.
Thanks so much again for this review!

Hi Sarah! I do think they run really similar in sizing between the parker and the parker long. I don’t think the fit is the exact same but I definitely think they are both true to size. So if you went with your bigger size in the the parkers, I would think the same size would work well in the parker longs. I hope this helps!
