Denim shorts are a spring and summer wardrobe staple— especially if you live somewhere hot and humid, like here in Nashville. You probably know by now that I really love denim! Today I am sharing my favorite Agolde denim shorts for this spring and summer!
Most of my current denim is either from Levi’s or Agolde, and honesty, what I reach for almost every time is from Agolde. Both brands are great— Levi’s is classic and iconic, and Agolde has impeccable detailing and fits. I wear the Agolde more because for me, the best fit wins every time.
Agolde shorts are more of an investment than Levi’s shorts, but I have found them to be so worth it for me. If we are talking cost per wear, my Agolde shorts have been worn way more than my Levi’s and this will be my third summer with most of the pairs that I have. They are really good quality and last for years.
My first pair of Agolde shorts were the Parker Shorts. I have them in three washes and have worn them more times than I could count. They were my favorite, until I got the Agolde Dee Shorts, which I found myself reaching for more than the Parker Shorts because I like that they are a couple of inches longer. Because of that, I decided to try the Agolde Reese Shorts which are a similar length to the Dee Shorts, and I ended up also loving them. This year, Agolde released a longer version of the Parker Shorts called, the Parker Long Shorts. I tried them on and felt that they were incredibly similar to the Reese Shorts, just slightly longer and available in different washes.
I think that shorts have been trending towards slightly longer lengths for awhile now. I know there are a lot of relaxed 90’s style shorts and jeans everywhere lately. Of course, the length of all of the shorts that I am sharing fit people differently depending on your height. For reference: I am five-foot-seven-inches tall. All of the Agolde shorts that I am sharing are 100% cotton— no stretch. They all have a button fly closure. Let’s check them out!
Favorite Agolde Denim Shorts
1.) Dee Shorts
Hat | Shirt | Earrings | Shorts | Sandals (gifted)

I have the Agolde Dee shorts in a two washes but this wash, ricochet, is my favorite. I love the color, distressing, extremely high waist (almost hitting my rib cage) and the length. They are so good, but for the perfect fit I recommend sizing up one size in this wash. Check out my full review, here.
2.) Reese Shorts
Shirt (old from Madewell – similar) | Earrings | Shorts | Shoes (size up 1/2 size)
Shirt | Earrings | Belt (old from Madewell – similar) | Shorts | Shoes
These shorts are also the perfect length, slight distressing, high rise (but not as high as the dee)— the perfect every day shorts. I got my true size and I have them in a light wash and a dark wash. I did an entire blog post reviewing this style of shorts and you can read, here!
3.) Parker Long Shorts
Shirt | Earrings | Bag (old from ABLE – similar, similar, similar) | Shorts | Shoes (I sized up 1/2 size)
These are slightly longer than the Reese shorts, but they are incredibly similar when it comes to fit. They are high rise with some distressing. They are a great pair of every day shorts. Read my full review of this style, here.
4.) Jamie Shorts
Sweater Vest (I sized down two sizes) | Shorts (old – similar) | Shoes
I picked up this pair of Jamie shorts a couple of years ago and I still like to wear these longer length shorts here and there. They are not my every day shorts that I reach for most, but I do love them styled just the right way. This exact style of shorts is old, and no longer sold new, but Agolde offers quite a few longer length styles.
5.) Parker Shorts
Sweatshirt | Earrings | Shorts | Sneakers (I sized up 1/2 size)
The Agolde Parker shorts are shorter than the others I have shared, but they are still very wearable. They are a high-rise, boyfriend fit and feel relaxed and comfortable. From what I gather, these have been Agolde’s number one selling shorts for many years, as I have seen them on basically all bloggers— ha! I think the longer version looks fresher than these now, but these are still such a good staple pair, and would look a bit longer on people who are petite.
Are you into denim shorts? If so, what is your favorite style that you have and your favorite way to wear them? I would love to hear from you in the comments below!
P.S. Here are the table and basket you see in all the photos in this post!

Thank you for sharing such a comprehensive Agolde shorts guide! I’m on the hunt for a pair, myself, and seeing the options on you I am now leaning towards the Dee rather than the Parker I had planned on. You look great in all of them, though! The sizing is the only thing that is slowing me from ordering. I have never bought the brand before and while I know the Dee is a size up, I look at the Agolde size chart and seem an not so sure if it’s accurate.

Hey, I am glad this could be helpful! I haven’t checked out the size charts for Agolde, I just go off of my starting size and read reviews for sizing guidance. You could always buy two sizes and try both on and send back the one that doesn’t work. Revolve has these shorts and they have free shipping and free returns. You could also check out Andrea Hartman’s post about these shorts on her blog which is called seasons & salt. I know Natalie Borton has also review these shorts on her blog. We are all built differently, so maybe checking out some more recommendations could be helpful if you don’t want to order two sizes to try! Good luck!
