The fall weather in Nashville was so lovely this year. The perfectly mild temperatures stretched out longer than usual and we soaked it up. Now, we are a month into winter and it is definitely getting colder. As I have made outfits through these two seasons, I have noticed that I am once again gravitating towards variations of the same handful of outfit combinations. This was the case in the summer as well, and I wrote about it in this post. So below I am sharing my top five favorite outfit combos that you can wear right now!
Outfit Combo #1: Sweatshirt + Jeans + White Sneakers
Sweatshirt | Jeans (older wash – same style, sized down one size) | Sneakers

Sweatshirt | Jeans (older wash – same style, sized down one size) | Sweater Blazer | Sneakers
This is probably my most-worn outfit combo this fall and winter. It is perfect for all of the days we have been at home. You can easily swap the jeans for joggers for maximum comfort. Adding a top layer like the sweater blazer pictured above, adds more warmth when it’s extra cold.
Outfit Combo #2: Floral Blouse + Jeans + Mules or Boots
Shirt (old from H&M – similar) | Jeans (I sized down one size) | Boots
Shirt (old from H&M) | Jeans (run a bit big, size down if in-between sizes) | Bag (old from ABLE – similar, similar) | Mules (I sized up one size, you could probably just size up 1/2 size)
This combo can look a bit more dressy (like the top photo) or casual (like the bottom photo) depending on the pieces you choose. This combination is an easy, put-together look that I would add a leather jacket to for warmth.
Outfit Combo #3: Jeans + Crewneck Sweater + Mules or Boots
Sweater (old from Target – similar) | Jeans (older wash – same style, sized down one size) | Bag | Boots
Sweater (sold out – from Target) | Belt Bag (same bag in matte material) | Jeans (I got my true size but they run a bit big, size up if in-between sizes) | Shoes
I love this outfit combination styled like the above two photos, and I also like it with white sneakers. Sweaters are cozy and bring texture to an outfit. Pairing a sweater with a good, lived-in pair of jeans is a timeless combination that will always work!
Outfit Combo #4: Ripped Mom Jeans + Blazer + Dress Boots or Heels
Sweater Blazer (I sized down one size) | Shirt | Earrings | Jeans (I am 5’7″ and I got the long length, the wash I have is from a previous year) | Bag (old from ABLE – similar, similar) | Boots (sold out from H&M – similar)
Blazer (same style in another fabric, I sized down one) | Tank Top (old from Target) | Jeans (I am 5’7″ and I got the long length, the wash I have is from a previous year) | Bag (old from ABLE – similar, similar) | Heels (I sized down 1/2 size because they only have whole sizes)
This outfit combination is the most elevated of the bunch— but it is not too dressy! I love the pairing of the refined blazer with heels or dress boots, with the ripped jeans to add contrast in-between them. I think the end result is a chic yet approachable look.
Outfit Combo #5: Turtleneck + Straight Leg Jeans + Sneakers
Shirt (old – similar) | Jeans | Sneakers
Shacket (sold out from H&M – similar) | Turtleneck | Jeans (tts, got the 32″ length and I am 5’7″) | Sneakers
This outfit combination has been a new favorite of mine this year. For some reason I just keep gravitating towards fitted turtlenecks— they look so good tucked into high-waisted, straight leg jeans which are really having a big moment this year— this pairing feels fresh! I love a shacket (also really having a moment) over this outfit combination for added warmth.
Outfit Combo #6: Military Jacket + Jeans + Oxfords
Jacket (mine is a previous year’s version of this) | Shirt | Earrings | Jeans | Bag (old from ABLE – similar, similar) | Shoes (get your true size)
I have loved wearing whites, creams, and tans this fall and winter— especially mixed together! I have also been wearing quite a bit of green and I love it added to this otherwise monochromatic look.
Thanks for reading and looking through the outfits you can catch me wearing the most this fall and winter! What is your current favorite outfit combination? I would love to hear from you in the comments below!
