We lived in California before moving to Nashville twelve years ago. I went to school in Los Angeles and I worked in the fashion industry. Shaun and I met, dated, and got engaged in Los Angeles— it will always have a special place in my heart.
I love so many fashion brands out of California as they tend to carry a modern, cool, effortless, casual yet fashion forward vibe. Anine Bing’s clothing line is just that, and I really like the t-shirts and sweatshirts. So today I am sharing five outfit ideas with an Anine Bing sweatshirt. (I am wearing my true size) If you want a similar look at a lower price point, you could use this, this, this or something you already have in your closet!
Outfit #1: Sweatshirt + Vintage-like Jeans + White Converse High-Tops
Sweatshirt | Sunglasses (old Tom Ford – similar) | Jeans (mine are an older wash, 100% cotton, and I sized up one size) | Sneakers

Let’s jump right in with a super easy outfit. Although it is simple, I love this combination because every piece is classic and will not go out of style. You can’t go wrong with Levi’s, converse and a sweatshirt. Each piece feels lived-in and vintage-like, making it casual, approachable, and just plain cool.
Outfit #2: Sweatshirt + Pleated Pants + Flats
Sweatshirt | Pants (sold out at H&M – similar, similar) | Sunglasses (old from Warby Parker) | Shoes (old from Zara – similar)
I love mixing different styles and feelings. These trousers feel quite dressy on their own but when paired with this sweatshirt they immediately feel casual and cool. This outfit is a nice little departure from wearing denim.
Outfit #3: Sweatshirt + Faux Leather Jacket + Black Skinny Jeans + Sneakers
Sweatshirt | Jacket | Bag (old – similar same brand) | Jeans (I sized down one size) | Sneakers
Here is another easy, casual, everyday look. This mostly black look allows the graphic on the sweatshirt to be the focal point of the outfit and the checkered vans add extra visual interest and whimsey. I like the contrast of the light bag against the dark outfit. All of these little details make for an interesting and put together look.
Outfit #4: Sweatshirt + Flare Jeans + Beanie + Flats
Sweatshirt | Beanie | Jeans | Shoes (old from Zara – similar)
I love the shape of these jeans, they feel playful and retro. The textured beanie adds more cozy to this already cozy sweatshirt. These jeans are really stretchy, so this outfit is incredibly comfortable!
Outfit #5: Sweatshirt + Sweater Blazer + White Jeans + Black Mules
Sweatshirt | Sweater Blazer (similar and less expensive) | Jeans | Sunglasses (old from Warby Parker) | Shoes (old from Target – similar)
This final outfit feels more elevated and put together than the others. The crisp white jeans, long black sweater blazer and mules take this sweatshirt up a notch while still keeping it wearable for everyday! If you want to see more looks with this sweater blazer, check out this post!

Can I ask what you are wearing in the sweatshirt? I am also 5’7, and trying to gauge the fit. Thank you!
Michelle says
Yes! I am wearing a medium, which is my true size.
