Cuffed jeans— coming in hot for fall. : ) As I browsed through fall collections from my favorite denim brands, it didn’t take me long to land on the Ayla Cuffed Jeans as my pick for cuffed jeans for my fall wardrobe. I love the shape and the washes offered in this style.

How do the Ayla Baggy Cuffed Crop Jeans fit?

If you want the intended fit of the Ayla Jeans, you should stick to your true size to wear them baggy. I tried on my true size and they were baggy, just as pictured on the website. Then I tried on one size down and I immediately liked that fit better on my shape. I ended up buying the jeans one size down. This is partially because I like when the top part of jeans in fitted, it feels the most flattering to me, and also because I like where the length hit better on the size down.

This is a high-waisted style, with a 12.75″ rise and a button closure. With cuff jeans newly in style, you could absolutely just roll full-length jeans you already own, and that’s a great idea. However, since these were designed with the intention of wearing them cuffed, I find them to be really flattering. I personally think the detail that makes these jeans extra amazing, is the leg shape— it’s why I picked this style. If you look at the inseam and the outseam, you’ll see that they have a slight curve to them, almost verging on a barrel leg. This gives your legs a more elongated look vs a straight, blocky look. It also adds a subtle femininity which juxtaposes nicely against the blocky feel of the bottom cuff.

Ayla Jeans Double Cuffed as a Crop:

When you purchase the Ayla Jeans this is how they come— double cuffed at a crop length. This makes the inseam about 26″. Luckily, the cuffs are not sewn down, so you can customize the length to fit your style preference— whether that is unrolling the jeans or rolling them up more.

Ayla Jeans Single Cuff as Ankle Length:

When you unroll the jeans to be cuffed just once, the inseam is about 29″. I am 5’7″ and on me, this lands right at the bottom of my ankles.

Ayla Jeans Uncuffed as Full Length:

When you completely unroll the Ayla Jeans, the full-length inseam is 32″. As you can see, they come just above the ground when I’m wearing flat shoes.

What are the Ayla Baggy Cuffed Jeans made of?

The Ayla Jeans are made from 100% organic cotton, so they’re sustainable, and not stretchy. With that said, 100% cotton jeans relax quite a bit with wear. I buy mine tight so that they’ll relax to still be fitted.

These jeans are currently available in five different washes: white wash, light wash, medium wash, dark wash, dark indigo wash. I have them in the medium wash called, ‘Skylights’. I tried on the light and the dark washes as well. The light one was too light for my liking for fall. I loved the dark wash and probably would have chosen that, but they were too similar to another similar style/wash I have from this same brand. I opted for the medium wash and I really like them a lot, they’re sort of a light-medium wash, and I think the photos accurately portray the shade.

I love that this outfit feels nice and casual, with a pop of whimsy from the shoes. The green jacket works well with the wash of the jeans. I opted to roll the jeans just once for this look.

Here is an outfit idea with the jeans completely unrolled. I paired the jeans with a crop tank here, and coordinated my clog sandals and checkered bag back to the tank. It definitely works and I’ll be experimenting with more looks with these jeans full length, but ultimately I really love them cuffed the most.
