Today I’m reviewing Nisolo’s top-selling sandal style— the huarache. They’re described by Nisolo as: easy-going, breathable, beautiful, & perfectly unique. I have to say— I couldn’t agree more. I love the woven texture, casual vibes, open-yet-closed feeling, versatility, and high-quality, neutral leathers.

What are Nisolo Huarache Sandals made of?

Nisolo huarache sandals are made of soft, handwoven, water-resistant leather. They have shock-absorbing foam midsole cushioning.and a leather lining. The sole is made of flexible, no-slip rubber. They’ re available in six beautiful, neutral colors— almond, black, bone, brown, brandy, and desert rose (as pictured in this post).

How do Nisolo Huarache Sandals fit?

Nisolo lists fit recommendations on their website with the description of each shoe style. For the huarache sandals, they recommend sizing down 1/2 size. My normal size is 7.5 so I got these sandals in size 7. Initially, they were super duper snug— but that is how you want them to start to achieve the correct fit once they’re broken in. I simply slipped on a thin pair of socks and wore them with the sandals around the house on the first day that I got them. They don’t take long at all to loosen up. Since then, the fit has felt great. They no longer feel too snug and the leather will continue to wear in and mold to me feet the more that I wear them.

I love the colors and textures in this spring look. It’s also just so comfy. I really like mixing denim with knits and leather— the best textures. This outfit is perfect for every day and the jacket can be added or removed based on the fluctuating spring temps.

For chillier spring days, I love this outfit combo. The sandals pull this look towards spring. They work really well with jeans as long as there is some ankle showing. I wouldn’t pair them with full-length jeans unless I cuff them.

I love this outfit so much. The neutral huarache sandals pair nicely with statement denim. The sandals tie back in perfectly with the color of the top in this outfit, balancing the look.

The huarache sandals work really well with shorts. For this outfit, I grabbed three items I’ve been wearing on repeat lately— a striped tee, sling bag, and denim. I finished the look with the huarache sandals and it’s casual perfection.

The sandals works really well with casual summer dresses. I would wear them with any length of dress— mini, midi, or maxi, as long as the style is casual. Here I kept the look fully neutral with a white maxi dress and brown sling bag.
