What a year! Thank you for being here. I’m so grateful for each and every one of you. It means so much that you’d chose to spend any amount of your time here with me.
As the year comes to an end, it’s natural to look back over it and take one last long look at it— the highs, the lows, and the many beautifully average moments in-between. In the spirit of looking back, wardrobe edition, I’m sharing my favorite wardrobe additions from 2022. Some of these pieces were purchased, others were gifted, but all were new in my wardrobe this year. These are the pieces that really sung in the choir of my closet. : )

Black Wrap Dress— Everyone needs a classic LBD in their wardrobe. I’ve had black dresses throughout the years but none that felt perfect— or classic enough to stick around as a mainstay. A short, wrap dress is a very classic and classy piece. It feels feminine, elevated, and perfect for any occasion that calls for dressy attire. I sized down one size in this.
Crewneck Sweaters— These are steadfast fall and winter pieces. My favorites from this year were a cotton fisherman sweater, cashmere fisherman sweater, and a cable knit sweater. All three are true to size.
Tan Blazer— This three season staple item served me well in the spring, fall, and winter. It’s a perfectly versatile, classic piece. I sized down one size in this.
Distressed Denim Jacket— I’ve raved many times about my classic denim jacket (tts), but I recently got this distressed one (tts) with a longer hemline and a more fitted sillohuette and I love how different the jackets are. You can get 15% off your purchase at ABLE with the code: MICHELLETOMCZAK15
Tan Tailored Shorts— I think these were my most-worn shorts of the summer. I got mine from Abercrombie, tts, and I love the fit of them. They elevated otherwise basic or super casual summer outfits. Looking forward to wearing them again in the spring and summer.
Striped Shirt— I was surprised by just how much I loved this super classic shirt (tts but size up if in-between sizes). It’s basic and it’s perfect and it’s a forever piece— the end! : )
Leather Moto Jacket— After many years on my wishlist, I got this black jacket. I also ended up getting the same jacket in whiskey, and a different jacket in brown. I sized up in all of them so I could layer underneath them. Stay true to size for a fitted look. I love how this style of jacket adds an edgy feel to any outfit. Striped Sweater— I love this timeless sweater (tts), and all it’s perfectly subtle details.
Trench Coat— This year I got a camel trench coat that is super classic and high quality. I plan to keep it forever! Also, I recently picked up an affordable ankle length, thinner trench coat that I love so much. I found it in-store at H&M. Mine is tan but they have the black trench online (tts). Trench coats add instant chic-ness it every single outfit they’re in.
White Feminine Blouse— She’s subtle and classic, but looks beautiful with everything. A white feminine blouse looks amazing layered under a blazer or jacket, paired with jeans, or paired with trousers. I wore mine so much this year! Linked a similar option.
Cardigan Sweater— I’ve been wearing them my whole life, but this year I got my best ones yet. There were four standouts this year: camel jumper (same style similar color – I sized down one size), cashmere boyfriend cardigan, cotton cardigan, cozy gray cardigan. They are all so different in material, cut, color.
Baggy Jeans— I know, I’m just as surprised as you are that these are on my list but guess what— I love them! These are a result of getting outside of my comfort zone, which feels quite liberating and like such a win.
Everything from Léze the Label— If you’ve seen any of my try-ons on Instagram, you know that I love this brand so much. I started out with the Kendal Pant and Athena Sweater set. Then I got the Maya Turtleneck, Mira Cardicoat, Taylor Pants, Jordyn Hoodie, and Brooklyn Jacket. Just plain obsessed with all of it! It’s all true to size. code: MICHELLETOMCZAK for 15% off
Jumpsuit— I got this jumpsuit (tts) in red (similar for less) which worked out so well. I love how jumpsuits look and how easy they are as a one-and-done piece. I just got this green jumpsuit and I’m anxiously awaiting it’s arrival.
Slim Straight Jeans— I’ve had this style before in another wash, but this exact pair just hit differently. These are super versatile jeans. I’ve worn them casually and I’ve worn them dressed up. They work really well either way. I sized down two sizes.
Wide Leg Trousers— I have the same style in two different colors because the fit is perfection, tts. My favorite way to wear them is with sneakers, for a casual chic look.
Herringbone Coatigan Sweater— This item is not in the collage because I couldn’t find an image for it, but it was for sure in my top items for this year. It is so cozy, chic and I love everything about it. Wearing it feels like being wrapped up in a blanket, and what’s not to love about that!? I sized down in this.

Black Lace Up Sandals— These were for sure my most-worn sandals this summer. I love that they feel minimal, yet they add a chic feeling and visual interest to basic summer outfits. I wore them with everything— shorts, dresses, rompers, etc.
Woven Crossbody Bag— I love the color, texture and detail on this everyday handbag. It matches my chelsea boots perfectly. code: MICHELLE_TOMCZAK20 for 20% off
Black Oxfords— A modern twist on a classic shoe. I love the embossed croc material and modern details.
Cream Combat Boots— I LOVE the toe shape on these boots. They look like they would be heavy but they’re not— they’re so light and immediately comfortable. The color I have is sold out, but they have a handful of other colors and this is the most similar.
White Sandals— These look like birks, but something about the shape and materials makes them feel a bit more feminine and elevated. I love white sandals because they always feel fresh, versatile and they really pop in outfits. You can get 15% off your purchase at ABLE with the code: MICHELLETOMCZAK15
White Sneakers— Overall, white sneakers are my most-worn shoe over the past handful of years. I love this style because of the velcro and d’Orsay cut. Also available in a tie version. code: MICHELLE15 for 15% off your first order
Tan Loafers— Another classic shoe made in a modern way. The material is unexpected, as well as the d’Orsay cut outs. I’ve worn these a ton, they are so versatile. Mine are sold out but they have them in black. code: MICHELLE15 for 15% off your first order
Gold Necklace— I got the exact one in this collage, but I also have and love this short necklace, and a coin necklace (similar same brand). Minimalist jewelry is my favorite.
Black Belt— A chic accessory that is a necessity. Adding a belt makes outfits feel more finished and put together.
Black Booties— Okay so these made it onto my list without even being in my hands yet. Maybe they shouldn’t count for this year? I ordered them in 2022, they’re just not quite here yet.
Green Handbag— Isn’t she CUTE!? Just plain obsessed with this bag. Green is one of my favorite colors to wear. I love how easily this bag pairs with neutrals and adds color interest.
Bone Handbag— This was an item I knew I would like, but I ended up being a bit blow away with just how much I love it. The size is perfect, it pair well with so many things in my wardrobe, the magnetic phone pocket in the front is a functional dream come true. Need I say more? Black Tote Bag— This was missing in my wardrobe. I identified it, filled the gap, and couldn’t believe I lived without it for so long.
Tan Chelsea Boots— So lovely and comfortable. The best everyday boots! I sized up 1/2 size. code: MICHELLE_TOMCZAK20 for 20% off
Cream Chuck 70s— I got these in black last year and loved/wore them so much that I opted to grab them in cream this year. Turns out, I equally love the cream and the black. Size down 1/2 size.
